Porlock Vale and the Bristol Channel
Image No 300-3602a
The summit of Dunkery Hill is one of the highest points in southern England and this is the view you get looking north towards the ridge of Bossington Hill. Beyond it you can see the Bristol Channel and the shores of southern Wales, whilst in the foreground Cloutsham Ball, Hawk Coombe and Porlock Vale lead us progressively into the view.
Evening is the time to be here if you are a photographer, but of course the view can be enjoyed at any time of day if the weather is fine and clear.
