Mackerel Sunset, Bossington Hill
Image No 300-6429a
Mackerel skies are the result of high winds at altitude and don't seem to occur very often, so if you happen to be in a good location when they happen then so much the better.
On this occasion I had gone to Bossington for an evening picnic, not to take photographs, but the camera always goes with me just in case and it paid off.
