Valley of Rocks

The conical shape dominating this view of Valley of Rocks is called Rugged Jack and is actually at the end of a ridge, not an isolated cone. Below it you can just make out a footpath which takes a dramatic route along the slopes of Rugged Jack with perilous slopes down to the sea below. This was the most colourful autumn I have even seen in this valley and I have been waiting several years for a reoccurrence in order to do further photographic justice to this intriguing rugged landscape.
