Porlock Vale and Bay

When severe weather coincides with high tides the sea can and does breach the shingle ridge of Porlock Bay to flood the pasture beyond. The flooded area is known as Porlock Marsh and the whole area can be seen really well from Bossington Hill, as in this image, or from Porlock Common which is to the upper left corner in this view.
