Above is the Weir Valley and it's early autumn. The heather and gorse are still in flower yet the bracken on the hillside has turned red and the grass has turned yellow, a rare and colourful combination.

To the right is the River Heddon deep in the Heddon Valley. I rarely have much luck with the weather when I visit this place, so colourful images taken here are a real treat to come away with.
