On the 4th of November 1980 the waning crescent moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Regulus all came together in this fairly tight grouping.

I got up early and it was cloudy. I set my equipment up anyway. At 6am just as dawn was breaking the clouds parted for just a short while and in just the right place. Magic. I don't expect ever to see a scene like this again so I am really happy that I made the effort to be in the right place at the right time, and that lady luck was on my side.
