This panorama is made from three images stitched together and shows the extensive views to be had from the summit of Aguille Du Midi. The mountain peaks just seem to go on forever. A photographic image just does not do justice to the scene - you have to be there to appreciate the imense scale of it all. There were mountain climbers traversing the vast snow fields in the foreground but were so tiny in comparison that you needed a telephoto lens or binoculars to make them out. Awesome.
