Moor Wood on North Hill. Although it was the middle of the day it was fairly dark under the tree canopy, save for this strip of sunlight sneaking through a gap in the hedgerow up ahead. To the naked eye the contrast was not as great as in this image, but knowing how the end result will turn out is part of the skill of photography. Our brain compensates whereas the camera usually does not.
