Rich autumn colours under a stormy sky in the Barle Valley. As so often happens, an all to brief splash of sunlight on an otherwise grey day rewards the photographer who is armed and ready with results such as this. In contrast, the image of Cloutsham Ball seen below was taken on a calm evening with plenty of time to capture those long shadows and golden evening light.
