Valley of Rocks
Image No 300-5085a
The Valley of Rocks is an amazing place. Curious, jagged rock formations look somewhat out of place amongst the rolling hills of Exmoor. It has been suggested that the East Lynn River used to flow down this valley to the coast, but has long since changed course to join the sea at Lynmouth. It might explain how the rock formations were created. Photographic opportunities here are numerous and one of my favourite viewpoints is this one looking down on the valley from high up on the rocky ridge between the valley and the sea.
