It had been a particularly colourful autumn but, as often happens, the peak of colour coincided with a downturn in the weather with grey and wet conditions prevailing. However, an all too brief 30 minutes of sunshine allowed me to grab a few shots in this colourful woodland. you could say I was lucky to be there at that particular time, but in some ways you make your own luck my making the effort to be there just in case. Sometimes it pays off, but more often than not it doesn't
